First art I’ve finished in months
collage scraps, bullying (?)
Also this was in my collage scrap file and I just find this caption so interestingly worded. I never ended up using it in anything though.
Figure 102. Phantasy Painting of a Cruelly Treated Boy Who Sought Freedom From Domination Apparently in Self-Defense

(it's a kid's drawing of a cowboy riding a horse next to a circle of covered wagons)
here's a little micro-poem collage thing i wrote a long time ago and just discovered again
46. Action is found everywhere: cognition is found everywhere; hence, the worlds are infinite. "Open yourself to linking,"
many people do not realize how much they could influence others simply by remembering accurately everything they see, hear, or read.
relationships, transitioning, poetry, long
a poet at a street fair wrote this poem for my partner. it's about our relationship. i think it's really sad and beautiful.
i fell in love with the yellow of a dandelion
with the roots for tea, the petals for salads
the stems for wine, the entire flower for a bouquet.
then over time, the dandelion yellow turned wilted,
burned out, and was born again into the white wishes-
millions of them. millions of wishes but different.
not a petal for salad, but yes roots for tea. not
yellow in the bouquet, but grey and silver and white
in the wind. stem between fingers and lips blowing.
uncertain where the wishes will land. in the garden
or under the pillow.
These are some reminders I wrote to myself before my egg cracked. I had them pinned up on the fridge and I would look at them often. Looking back on them now I can see how they were all part of my subconscious trying to push me in the direction I needed to go.
“Nothing works except what we give our souls to, nothing is safe but what we put at risk.” — A quote from the Dispossessed
“A fear is just a dream waiting to be realized.” — This popped into my head a few days before my egg cracked.
“Live today without judgement or fear.” — Something I tried to practice in my relationship with my partner and with myself.
“The most important step is showing up.” — A quote from Daring Greatly
